Villa Artom, or Villa del Chiossetto, stands on a hill surrounded by fields and woods, covering a total area of approximately 1,800 square metres, including the farmhouse, stables and the main residence, arranged over three floors. It is surrounded by five hectares of land, with a south-facing park enriched by imposing centuries-old trees.
This period residence, dating back to the early 18th century, was the home of an important family of Jewish origin, the Artom family, who contributed to the historical development of Piedmont.
Alessandro, the most famous of all the Artoms, also lived there. He was the inventor of the radio direction finder, as well as countless patents, which he donated to the state. His directional radio antennas are now the basis of telecommunications, radio and television, maritime aerospace, radio astronomy and radar astronomy systems.
